NEWPORT, R.I. — A Newport man is being sought by the police, who are charging him with one count of domestic felony assault.
Victor Jonathan Fontanez, 20, of the Park Holm housing complex is charged with stabbing his 23-year-old sister on Monday evening at his home.
“She had a defensive stab wound to her forearm,” said Sgt. John F. Barker.
The victim was treated and released, Barker said. The police responded to a call at 6:12 p.m., Barker said, after an argument became physical and Fontanez pulled a knife on his sister.
The police are not releasing the name and address of the victim.
